Dry Brush techniques in watercolor
Dry brushing is a wonderful technique for painting texture such as fur or wood.
“Class is never dull and never the same. Somehow Jessel always presents a new way of looking at artistic creation. She's organized, prepared, and then waltzes in and makes all her work--and talent-- seem easy. And she will not let you fail. More than once, she has pulled the rabbit out of the hat when I've been struggling with something I was sure was worthless. Add to this a core of regulars sprinkled with an array of newcomers, all with varying degrees of experience, and the results are entertaining and varied. "
“I was thinking yesterday as I was drawing outside your back door how very invested you are in our class. Every time there's a new twist--painting plein air, drawing with pen and ink you stock up on whatever we might need to make that successful. I know that's sometimes no small expense or small amount of energy to have that come together. You, my dear, have the spirit of generosity in your marrow.” Joy West
"I love to see the "unveilings" at the end of class, when it becomes obvious once again that everyone has unique style and interpretation. The ways to interpret a flower, a vineyard, an abstract are endless.”
"An inspiring artist and good teacher who can find the gem in any piece and teach how to enhance it."
