Tregaron Springs, an illustrious wine estate in a valley much like Napa, is inherited by three sisters after most of the family’s fortune has been spent and the expense of maintaining it forces them to consider selling out. Trew Vassy, the middle sister and protagonist, struggles to prevent this and eventually joins forces with the young Clyde Craven-Jones - “CJ” - to thwart an East Coast corporation from turning it into wine “estates” complete with a casino. This story is a prequel to Conaway’s novel, Nose.
