John Roos

Going back home to Chicago, to start an art career I attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Art focusing on Illustration and design.    

After school, in 1976, I went west and moved to California.  During that time designing came to the forefront which presented the opportunity to be an art director for 20 years, working with major retail companies like Grauman’s Chinese Theater, Johnny Rockets, JC Penney Co, two Splash Mountain aquatic venues and many more.

Napa has been home since 2005 and during that time I have shown my work through one man shows and art competitions including Napa Valley’s prestigious ‘Mustard Festival’ (2008) winning best of show.  Other paintings and Illustrations hang in commercial and private collections.

I've been an Illustrator and designer for a good many years. It's time to put my images and paintings out there and let the world take a look.
