Margot Carrera

I am a fine art nature photographer. I use my photography to create wearable art, home decor items, and gifts.  


I have studied photography since I was in high school. In college I studied under a professor who was Ansel Adams' student. This has led me to produce the majority of my landscapes utilizing the Zone system of photography that Ansel Adams developed.  He brought photography into the world of fine art.

In college my camera was a large format 4 x 5 box camera and I mainly produced black and white photography.  Soon after I immersed myself into the world of color and digital photography.  I am also a painter. Water color is my medium.  I have been known to mix the two skills to create photographs that look like paintings or paintings that look like photographs.  My work has been shown in the Oceanside Gallery in Southern California; the Off-Track-Gallery in Encinitas, California; and Jessel Gallery in Napa, California.
