I am a local glass artist with a studio here in Napa. Although holding an MFA in ceramics from the University of Oregon in Eugene, for the last 20 years I have been intrigued with the color possibilities of cast and fused glass. My work has taken several avenues from fused glass “curtains” to glass pods to cast glass work evolving into multiple pieces to be enjoyed both indoors and out. Having developed a process of incasing botanicals in glass, a strand of my current work involves that process.
The sculptural cast glass works reflect my captivation with natural structures. I interpret their forms in clay and then casts those forms in glass creating installation pieces for public spaces, gardens, and structures that serve as architectural elements. I have been fortunate to complete commissions for several West Coast wineries and numerous other public and private collections.
