TIO AND THE BLUE WITCH
After painting in oil and acrylic for a dozen years I one day discovered ink. I made some ink of my own from walnuts husks, acorn caps, moss and lichen. The Blue Witch emerged. Fearsome yet kindly, humble yet gifted, possessed of arcane knowledge out of a deep mythical past, she is a self-taught sorceress in the alchemical tradition in search of good.
The Green Knight appeared with a distinct personality, half vegetable, half human. This is not a typical children’s book; it will be enjoyed by adults who still have the child’s imagination. My grandson at age six read the book to me aloud, laughed at the amusing parts, and insisted I keep the story going.
