Connection
These stories are set in a variety of places: a kitchen table, funeral parlor, country western bar, refugee camp, border crossing, a cruise ship, South American waterfall, as well as local streets, parks, and schools that can be found in any town. What they have in common is the challenges in relationships and the difficulties we face when making important choices. The women in these stories struggle between having things the way they want them, with complete independence, and ceding control for love or simply for equilibrium. They learn to face their own truths and to share them. The male protagonists learn how chance encounters can open their hearts and change everything. The stories reflect a hopefulness about life’s possibilities and the paths we choose or stumble upon.
