Sweet poem and lovely bouquets.  xo  J

This whole composite of your written word & your painting really strikes a note-well done Ms. J! M

Your paintings have been so inspiring and uplifting. Thank you. I wrote this as a result of viewing some of your work: Echoing in spiral melodies, Lone voices cry out in pain. Every moment the world changes. Better angels are coming. D

Beautiful!   A subject that I have always been very sensitive about.   Just finished reading a book on Black Elk.   All such heartbreaking stories.  E

Dear Jessel - Happiness in Hope!!!
You are a Gift ... All your experiences coming together “for this time”.  Now.
I had this thought ... and know it fit you ....
Who is the artist to weave the Tree of Man, Woman, Spirit to be strong -
Suddenly, considering The Garden of Eden ...
we need Knowledge ... in some cultures, the snake  represents such ...
Perhaps a more mature understanding to see
how we can better by seeing Spirit as the
woven Strength ...

“Mankind can help better the world!”

Obviously, women kind - Kind Women - needed!!!  Only together - with respect for Spirit -  can the braid of “The Three” be STRONG. C

There are so many oppressed people.
If we as artists support them by painting images that support their culture, it's what we can do.
You are doing this and have been for years.
Your work will uplift them as well as educate those of privilege.
I don't know what else you or we can do as artists or as humans.
It's frustrating because you have a big heart.
I watched a homeless black man in Sacramento crying on the news last night cause his thrift shop is closing and where will he go? He has no car. I'm writing the mayor today to see if someone can't help him.
He haunted me for hours last night. It was so raw.
G

Jessel... as I read your words the strongest feeling I had was “broken hearts”... I saw different ethnicities represented .. all with broken hearts.. then from above a healing white mist of energy raining down ...
Not sure if that speaks to you but it’s what came to me..Love you!! J

BEAUTIFUL!!!! J

Gorgeous.
I am very drawn to Native American images. This is wonderful. G

Thanks too for the history of the Wappo tribe in the Napa valley.
I agree that one of their settlements would have been close to where you are. And all along the Napa river as a food and water source.

So beautifully written and painted!
Very clever idea of putting your art on usable items.  Miss you. Stay well E, T, Y

I have felt very "down" this week, even though I have NOTHING to be "down" about!  This painting lifted my spirits!  May I use the name "Tsewa" for a basket?  Hope to see you soon!  xoxoxo m.

So cool!!!!!!
People are going to love these possibilities!
👍👊🙌🌝 G

I see a beautiful bird near the bottom and the profile face with a blue turban hat.  Love this series. Lovely to start the day seeing this!  Have a wonderful day! J

So very sweet!!  You are a pillar in our community!!
Love and prayer to you and Gary!! J

What a gorgeous piece.
👍🙌❤️G

Master piece! B

Jessel, I LOVE this piece!  It really speaks to me. (I suppose it helps that I’m a Leo.)
But it just so majestic and beautiful. I truly would buy it if I had the money!
I am living in Lancaster, PA with my older daughter, her husband and my grandson. Trying to sell my home in Oregon. Probably rent something here.
You take care, stay well and keep up your work. N

Beautiful picture, and lovely message. Thank you!😊 D

You are an inspiration for many people! I enjoy the art you are so generously sharing with all of us! 😍❤️ B

I am simply elated for you. I feel your joy bleed through in you paintings and words.
What I want to express is the stunning beauty of the CA coastline right now. The waves are gorgeous, skies are blue and all the spring flowers are in bloom along the shore cliffs and dunes. We drove from Monterey to Half Moon Bay on Hwy 1 on Friday and it’s still fresh in my mind because getting out was so invigorating! Go if you get a chance because it is so fleeting.  L

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That is a realllllly long word and very appropriate!!! G

Rich Colors says it all, Jessel.  I love this painting (!) as well as the inspiring words for it .. and for everything you've created so far.  S

Love this.  I am a lover of birds and owned a parrot, so this  especially touches me . Colors are beautiful. Can’t wait to buy the book.
Truly inspiring, wonderful and a great visual dazzle of Parrot Spirit.  My power animals are Fox and Hummingbird. I have been into this for many years. Love seeing your work for this book evolve.  Thanks for sending out! Blessings, Peace and you will get through it all with flying “Colors” sending Love, J

Thank you, that is beautiful I love elephants. J

This is one of my very favorites, Jessel. Beautifully executed. R

Very powerful.  Great that you included the meaning of elephant.  I think people will realize symbolism beyond realism.
Really poignant!  I bow to you!
love,

A few thoughts from a Jessel Gallery fan!!! GS

You are going to be famous!  G

This is a beautiful piece.
Can't wait to see the show. It will be phenomenal
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍🙌👊🍷🌸 G

Absolutely amazing.  Yes, I am crying with you.  Beautiful work. You & Dinah are my favorite artists. Fabulous work. Thank you.  M

That was lovely.
I found my sage today and started sageing my studio and house.  I asked for my ancestors and spirit guides to guide me and to bring new fresh healthy, healing energy into my life. C

I love all of your work and most especially am touched by your Beaming Butterfly Spirit.
And the words she spoke to you while you were painting are wonderful and amazing.
In a past email, you invited folks to write something for your new book.  I am still knitting my words together, hope that is ok.
All my love from Texas, D

Gorgeous, Jessel! My favorite ever! L

Really love this. Thank you for sharing. Miss you. Hope you are doing well. D

This is simply gorgeous, Jessel.  Just exquisite! Stay safe, K

This was so powerful and moving for me to read... Thank you so much. The painting evoked the same feeling I had when I saw the video from Italy of people singing out of their windows every night at 8pm such a sight of unity and so inspiring.. windows to soul is what I see.
Thank you for sharing and be well! S

Love you, Jessel. K

Thank you Jessel for your messages. They are beautiful, especially in our dark time.
Stay well! With love,  Y

Thank you Jessel.  So appreciate your gorgeous uplifting work - J

Beautifully painted and beautifully said! Stay safe E

Just wanted to let you know Gina and I look forward to you uplifting messages each day. Thank you for sending them. We in turn send our best wishes to you. A

I want you to know how very much I appreciate and am uplifted and calmed by your writings/paintings and the explanations of your work along with the poetry or quotations you share with us.  In this difficult, trying and unsettling time, you are providing me with hope and positive and very colorful feelings.  How fortunate I am to have found your shop those years ago when I first moved to Napa ... I feel blessed to have your spirit and joy in my life.
With much appreciation and love,
E

This is lovely Jessel. You are a beacon of light in the darkness.
Much love to you~ G & L

Thank you for your daily inspiration.  Your thoughts and art work are blessings to us.  I pulled out your book “The Slow Down Book.”  Perfect for this time.  Very prescient.

I find your talents a very special part of my daily life.
Thank you again.  May you stay safe and well,

Gorgeous!!!!!❤️😘👍🙌 G

WOW
Beautiful images. Great poem.
You are such a creative force.
MY OH MY. G

This is SO tender and beautiful M

I love this one!
I have been thinking about the Native Americans too. I really believe this country won’t be healed until we go back even further and redress the wrongs done to them. S

From Jessel: This is a very special friend of mine. We have known each other since her birth. My dad brought her into the world.
Hi Jessel,
I do so enjoy seeing your paintings through these emails.  I also recall no Blacks in Timmins but when we moved to Miami in 1962, the racial overtones in some of the black 'ghettos' was intense, especially in Coconut Grove.  And these areas were officially called ghettos at the time.

While I never saw your Dad's photos, I do remember most of the paintings you did in the 1970's and the lady in green below.  And your new works have so much depth and feeling!  Thank you for continuing to share your works with everyone.
Be well, my friend.  Hope to get up there in the next few months!
Love, S

So beautiful. G

That first image is the ESSENCE of landscape.
I hope lots of people float with you !!
❤️🙌👊G

Love this!! D

I loved how the dancer was swathed in color. L

This one hits in a good and special place.
Thank you for sharing and your words. L

Love the hidden faces. Thx for sharing. K

Stunning Jessel...I am astounded at how prolific you are with this collection! 🌹L

Wow! Wow wow wow.
This is a great painting. Amazing. ❤️🙌 G

Gorgeous!!! ❤️ D

Going through your emails take me through an adventurous stream of blues , turquoise’s and yellows and flowing amidst rich green fields of grass highlighted by red and yellow sun rays.
I don’t want to go back to the real world out there right now. Thank you for an enchanting change of environment. B

The viewer is drawn into the profound intricacy of beauty, seeing images beyond the actual painting.  The folds of color mutating into one another have clairvoyant structure of the piece.  So incredible, truly the art display of a professional.
Thank you for your constant talent. J

Lovely Jessel,
I am moved by your creative depth in this strange time in history. XO
L

Love this Jessel! So beautiful! D

Thank you Jessel,
Beautiful painting and beautiful words K

So beautiful and comforting.  K

I just love the work you have been doing. This piece especially speaks to me. Both my daughters and I collect elephants. I can’t afford the $5,000 price for the original, but perhaps I could afford a print. Let me know if you could produce one.
Keep healthy and safe. Miss you bunches!
Love, E

I see value in each of the three versions of "Humanity" painting.
I like the first one because I see more detail in the 'heart's' faces.
The second one shows more story along with the development of the paintings, and, I think that the viewer can use more imagination.
After seeing the 'heart's' versions, the third one seems plain - and  also very effective in its message.
My horoscope has told me in the past that I see both sides to everything, thus hard to make a decision:  as you can see from my comments!
(However, In the past, when I have finally made a decision, I am very happy with it for Years.) M

My choice is the one with the children’s’ faces because of the title.  It is beautiful either way!
Love and safety and health dear Jessel J
Peace is joy at rest. Joy is peace dancing- Tim Hansel

Lovely wording, very appropriate, thank you Goddess!  XO L

Love Surrounds! C

Love it!  Thanks for making the morning brighter. S

Beautifully said. Wishing you and your family Easter and Passover blessings. Stay safe and hopefully we will see you soon.
Love, B

You make me cry with joy, Jessel. Have a wonderful day family. B

Well it took me all day but here is my HOPE:
Having. Optimism. Perseverance. Endurance
Whew! This was good to really think about today - thanks! C

Jessel my idea of hope:
Healing offers people equanimity. R

Thank you for sharing ❤️
It so uplifting and your carefully selected quotes 💜👍
May we all be grateful for what we have with family and friends
Knowing that there are less fortunate people all around us
May they find love and joy during these times of uncertainty 💜 L

Thank you
Sweet inspiration. L

Very moving, thank you Jessel. B

The choices some of our brothers and sisters are making are literally between life and death!
Work in public can threaten personal health.
Choice not to work gnaws away at our capacity to secure the basics we need to survive.
For many who do not need to work to take care of basic needs it is frightening to guess  how little we may end up with!
Fear not!
It will be more than most!!
Be generous! J

LOVE this Butterfly painting and the words written with it. You are a master!
Thank you for sharing your talent with us all during these trying times, M

Beautiful.
Serene.
You are going to have hundreds of paintings by the time this virus quits.
You are an inspiration.

Your beautiful and vividly colourful spirituality will carry us all through this Pesach (crazy) timed plague.
Love, B

THANK YOU - We are very touched by your incredible painting. P.K.

All inspirational ❤️ L

This gives me inspirational goose bumps!  Wish I could come by for a hug!  Keep "arting" and carry on!  xoxoxo m.

Dance, put some music from your teen yrs on, what a better day when I Am dancing. U tube has Dick Clark. Hula is fun.
Dance as if no one is watching, shelter & twirl, twirl, twirl. B

Dearest you.  I look at every one of your emails. I find them both thoughtful and beautiful. You are a splendid portrait artist and you have incorporated that gift into your “new” art. Keep it coming. Love, G

My process with my paintings of the Northwest is to take photos, print many different angles and closeups, and lay them out on my high studio table. I contemplate them as I walk by each day. When one finally demands painting, I start with a light drawing, and then add the rest. I walk by the Westway Mailboxes often in summer. Will this summer allow us to resume our previous lives? It's hard to know. How can we get back to the Olympic National Park? Will we ever? Seastacks are special. Will my 94 year old mother escape the virus? Will the two new babies in our clan be ok? Painting cigar boxes this past year was a wonderful jaunt. Will it feel that away again? Sending hope to all of you Jessel fans as we cheer on her wonderful current body of work. Her HeART. Her heartstrings. G

I love how you are being a unifying, loving voice in the community near and far.
For me, the saying, "There is no such thing as a problem without a gift. We need problems to find their gifts." I believe this completely. Because around the world people are slowing down, driving less, flying less, the air is cleaner. Because people are home bound, they are spending more time with their children, maybe listening more, maybe hearing more. There is always a benefit to find...and then the problem goes away, and we still have the gift. YAY!
Bless you, Dearie, for using your gallery and studio to be a jumping off place for love, beauty and heartening messages. D

I trust and hope this finds you and your loved ones in good health.
I enjoy your emails, and this one was especially meaningful.
Thank you for sharing so much of yourself.
I love the work you're doing with the palette It's reminiscent of the work of sculptors who visualize the image of their subject in the stone and carve it to freedom.
Thank you also for sharing your remarkable encounter with Maya Angelou. She was a treasure, a powerful force and profound voice.
Finally, I love the gift of the "I Choose" poem. It's a keeper.
Be well and safe. Keep the remarkable beauty coming!
I hope to visit soon.
Love and light to you and yours. S

Keep going and sharing!!! It’s inspiring... thank you R

I love Maya Angelou. What a brilliant and caring woman.
How special that you had a session with her!
WOW
G

Thank you so much for bringing so much joy and  beauty to this world.
You never cease to amaze me.
Stay well! K

I love your pictures. The narrative is personal and very heart felt. Thanks for sharing.
Our island in SC has pretty much shut down as far as activities go. I’ve been sketching outside, then water coloring over the sketches and reading to stay busy.
Stay well. Hope to see you this summer.
Love, C

Dear Jessel Thank you for this most amazing and heartwarming message It is people like you who make this a wonderful world Your talent and
loving spirit know no bounds Thank you from the bottom of my heart
K

Jessel Gallery is the place of art and light in Napa.
You Jessel are something special. You are such an uplift. I see your Posse at the art openings. I saw those ladies painting, thrilled to be in your tutelage when I came by last month. You were destined to be an art beacon. Not just for Napa anymore.
Happy Sunday, G

Love the concepts of Join Up and Restart.
Bravo!
xoxo  J

Bonjour!
I've been to Paris several times. The last visit was with Jeff's family after his Dad retired. We flew over on the Concorde (a gift from his company). We took the train to Giverney and spent the day immersed in Monet's gardens. I made a great photo album/scrapbook I'd love to share with you sometime. Paris is/was the center of fashion and all things cosmopolitan. Despite being just like any other place with its problems, it still has magic in our minds.
I hold hope in my heart that we'll come out of this chaotic time with more appreciation of life, love and laughter.K

Interestingly, I, too, have been feeling sad the last few days... I think all the obvious inhumanity has hit us at our core ... found myself crying as well. It’s painful when people are cruel.... I think acknowledging our broken hearts is important and I feel that all of us need to be bathed in the iridescent light of the healing powers from the Divine.
I applaud your gift of art expression and the power of the feelings behind them...J

I wish I had a magic wand big enough to heal the World Soul at this time, unfortunately I do not.
HOWEVER, what I DO KNOW is that Artists such as yourself ARE the shamans that guide all of us to a greater vision of ourselves and the world.  Please dry your sweet tears and know you are making a difference whenever anyone views one of your magnificent paintings.  I love the use of the North Wisdom of the Buffalo and the East Wisdom of the messenger, Eagle.
To quote Clarissa Pinkola Estes, if anyone thinks no good can come from this, just isn't listening.
In loving spirit from Texas,
D

Jessel, so good to see your work growing and changing it is inspiring!
I have been called to read novels by Louise Erdrich who is native American and sets her novels in our home state of N D
I recently read  “the night watchman” and have enjoyed “the round house”
The plight of our original Americans is outlined and  brought to life For me Through her writing.
She has several other books
The stereotyping and the discrimination by our white people and the unfair treatment by our government breaks my heart.
The simplicity of Their life with nature and their tradition  is clear and straight forward
It is a hopeful sign that so many want change
Let us make it include our original Americans
Much love J

Beautiful Jessel, you continue to amaze! Erin and I will be down soon to see you. J

Wow!!!!
Pretty darn amazing!!!!G

How in the world you are able to pull from the depths and create these amazing images is really something that is rare.
This one is stunning.
I am an art expert. Well, I have judged many art shows on my lifetime .
😘👌🤣😘 G

Beautiful. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️G

Embrace it! Nice you found a fancy word!!! But what you are now able to do is the "YOU" that was inside the entrepreneur and coach of others, and your incredible gallery. Seriously-- it's like a rebirth!! Full credit!! Keep discovering!! LET IT OUT!! I knew that you had incredible talent on my first trip to Atlas Road!! Wanted to stay all day. Never missed a Christmas show!! My sister bought an original of ribbon and ornaments. Have had a print in my bathroom for years-- woman with picnic basket and child walking at edge of surf!!! Keep putting your wake up images on the canvas!! J

Such joyfulness!❤️K

Each message (and painting) from you is a blessing, my dear! xoxo M

Wow!
Gorgeous imagery , colors, composition.
Such an uplift this Sunday morning. ❤️G

Best to you always. M

Your daily emails are inspiration, Jessel, and the work is just wonderful. Words can't adequately describe it. I look forward to each of your communications and am continually grateful for my friendship with you.  Sending good thoughts and much love, Jessel R

Thank you for sharing your beautiful painting. You are such an Inspiration.💖🙏💖 Hope you are staying safe and healthy. M

Thank you for sharing your beautiful words and images 🤗❤️A

I can't wait to see them in person ... and give you a great, big hug.  Love you!  P

Thank you for your email .... Art therapy... - I am unable to paint right now because we are having kitchen renovation - house is a mess!! yikes!!, the Pandemic going on whew!   and stuff everywhere, but I dream of quiet  and maybe painting
a butterfly - I liked how you describe by closing the eyes - I appreciate your direction - hope to one day visit you again!  C

Oh. Jessel........tears for Tali.
Your Tali is beautiful.
What a sad horrible loss to lose her.
I have found in life that the best, most interesting and giving people in life are ones that have suffered a big loss. Love, G

This is an incredibly beautiful piece, Jessel.  And the background you shared so touching.  Love you so much! You are such a gift to us all.  I hope you find more creative joy in your connection with Dinah.
Love, W

Thank you, Jessel for sharing the meaning of the butterfly,🦋
I will feel even more blessed each time one visits my yard. The swallowtail pick I sent you last week, visited our garden frequently last summer. They love lantana. We had one, a few years ago, visit the garden and stayed for more than a half an hour. It stayed on the small tree. I had time to get my camera and took numerous photos that have a time stamp. This is special to me because I had read that they do not light, but for a few seconds. I think it was a female who might have been laying eggs...purely guessing here. What a gift to my soul. I’m not sure about things like reincarnation, but I have the habit of thinking about special dear ones who have passed and consider them as coming for a visit via the butterfly. I greet whoever spirit it  is that pops into my thoughts. 🦋
Stay well and thank you for the beauty and kindness you post.🐣🥰🌷🦋 D&S

Just wanted to comment that your Art during these unsettling times make me smile - Thank you !
C 🌼

So beautiful Jessel,  and such a comforting message.  Thank you M

Spectacular!   Stay well E

Thank you for sharing your creative self with us! It is something beautiful to look forward to each day. ❤️P

Thank you Jessel! My heart is touched by this painting. It has so much emotion in it for me. Then I read your words, and the tears began to roll down my cheek.  Bless you for sending this kindness out to all! We are in a dark time, but I believe it is here to reveal to us how we are one as humans on this grand, blue planet.♥️ E

Love this Jessel. Thank you for sharing. I not only love the way you paint but your writing is so wonderful. You’re so gifted. ❤️D

These pieces are beyond beautiful.  Now, every time I look at the piece I purchased from you YEARS ago (hanging in my dining room) I feel peaceful....if only for a few minutes.  (I need to go peek at it more often.. especially since we're practicing social distancing and are home so much of the time. B

Lovely!!!
Be safe and stay healthy. A

Just want to thank you for your kindness, mindfulness and creative 🖼 painting during this time. I have sent your messages to friends and family. Amazing visions of your wonderful kindness of others and yourself.
Take care, T

This is just beautiful. I read your post with a tear in my eye.
My mother was a Registered Nurse and, through readings and stories, introduced us to Florence Nightingale, Clara Barton, Cherry Ames Student Nurse, and others. Every nurse that I have ever known was passionate about helping others. Mom has dementia now and is a memory care resident. Although her short term memory is fading, it is her Student Nursing days and years working in Emergency and Labor & Delivery where she has full recall. Even today, she is an advocate for other residents in her building who can no longer speak for themselves. When she frequently goes into "nurse mode", I smile and silently recite, "once a nurse, always a nurse."
Thank you for sharing your beautiful story and lovely art with us.

What a lovely weaving, Jessel, from nightingale to weeping father...an intertwining of such deep emotion and caring.

Thank you Jessel!
I pray that I’m safe when I step into the NICU at Stanford.
I’ve been home doing remote healings for people 1:1
Every day I pray. Every night I do healing for the whole world with my friend Karen who also does Divine Intervention. We do this as a gift to humanity.
We are in this together and your paintings and intuitive insights resonate with what I see as well.
As we are in this time of great transition, Florence Nightingale foreshadows deeper meaning. Night into the light of day brought forth by a gale or wind (breath). Keep breathing in the present moment as we transition into higher consciousness and love.
I am inspired by your work and the spiritual meaning it embodies.
Thank you!
P
