JANIS ADAMS
Fused Glass Jewelry & Gifts
I learned kiln-formed glass, also known as fused glass, 10+ years ago and immediately fell in love with the medium. I create functional pieces, meant to be used and enjoyed in everyday life: plates, bowls, platters, vases, candle holders, pendants, rings and earrings. I love working with color and texture and abstracts.

DEBBIE DEAN

Fine Art
Deborah Dean started her watercolor painting career 30 years ago in San Francisco. Living in Paris to study haute couture fashion design stimulated her love of travel which can be seen in her landscapes of France and wine country.

An animal lover, Deborah often paints her beloved dachshunds as well as farm animals. Her current series "In the Mist" is an exploration in semi-abstract acrylic painting. "Learning new techniques with the guidance of Jessel Miller has allowed me to experiment with color and form in a new medium."

 Pastel
I have been an artist all of my life, and it has always been my joy and passion!  I fell in love with pastels many years ago, as it is a very forgiving and immediate medium.

In teaching pastels,  my goal is to impart to my students the skill of really “seeing,” (observing) their subject matter, and then translating it through their own unique being and sensibilities  to their rendering.

Beautiful Baskets
I began creating hand-wrapped and beaded batik baskets in 2011 after 34 years as a high school and college English teacher.  The basket process continues to evolve with new designs and artistic techniques.  Each basket has a name that is in keeping with the colors and natural surroundings which the name evokes.  Beads are only stone or glass.  Several fabrics are used in each basket, and no two are ever alike!

Ceramics & Glass
I'm a retired aerospace materials Engineer with a Masters Degree in Sculpture from San Jose State University. In college I cast large transparent polyester resin sculptures using organic shapes in hard edge geometric shapes. Today I'm doing the same thing with glass. I fuse glass in a kiln at 1500 F with sheets and frit using those same organic shapes of leaves, trees and natural textures. I polish the surfaces to be transparent using cold working techniques developed over decades. I like the sensation of seeing through a piece to include its surroundings in the visual experience.

DIANE SLADE
Acrylic Paintings
Diane Slade believes that this is a truly magical world. Throughout the past year it has been such a joy to walk the wetland edge trails observing the migratory shore birds and ever changing atmosphere and then translate these observations into paintings. As a result I’ve become even more passionate about the importance of open space and wetlands preservation, endeavoring to reflect this through the making of art. Although most of my work is inspired by the natural world, it is also informed by memories, myth and imagination.

Exquisite Jewelry
I started beading when I retired in 2001.  Now I can’t stop.  I have been a life long crafter, jack or all trades, master of none.  I needed to master one skill and give it my all.  I settled on my unique passion for creating beautiful, unique intricate beadwork. I’m still working on it.  My goal is mastery. It’s all about the journey.

Oils
My paintings are an imaginative response to my endless fascination and observation of our natural world.  I can be pretty picky about how items should be arranged and what constitutes a compelling composition. I am quirky by nature, and my paintings reflect this. I enjoy bringing to life ideas that deviate from absolute representation and move toward a peculiar realism. My current paintings are mostly of branches, birds, feathers and often a combination of those things.

FRANK TROZZO
Oils & Prints
Frank Trozzo is an award winning Napa Valley artist and designer. His paintings are in oils and acrylics. He has used his artistic talents in many different fields, including bronze sculpture, jewelry, and digital design. He started painting and drawing at a young age, studied art in college with further art studies in Europe.

“I’m inspired by the physical nature all around us as well as our inner nature. I work with symbols. Myths, archetypes and historical beliefs intrigue me. I derive some of my images from dreams and meditations. I want to show there is more than the physical world we see around us“.

KAREN WRIGHT
Photography
Behind the lens with Karen Stevenson Wright: I am a local Napa Valley Photographer . I have had a desire for photography since I was a child. Growing up in a large family of six children , I would always grab the camera and take pictures. When I grew up and started my own family I realized how important taking photographs of my children is.

"What is a Picture? A memory of a Moment" that will change in time.  It was not until I turned 50 I realized it’s now or never to continue with Photography. I took a class at Napa College with Ron Zak to further my education. I won several awards at our local fairs. Then I decided to join a gallery Art Gallery Napa Valley at 1307 First Street, Napa, CA. I am so pleased to have my work in Fine Restaurants, and Wineries throughout the valley and around the World. I capture the essence of abundant beauty within, and the emotions behind the image. I am happy to share my passion with you. When I am behind the lens I feel peace, joy, love, happiness and relaxation.
