To Buddy, from Mama Jessel - August 14, 2018
“You got this in the bag” From day one I knew you had this down, You romped and stomped just like a clown, Each bag you faced you had a guide, Who told you how to get inside. You’d slowly approach the openings, And suddenly your heart took wings, Just to see your happy face, Resting in your hiding place. Every time I’d have a spread, Friends threw purses on my bed, And when I looked for you to snag, A sleeping Buddy was “in the bag”. Garbage, grocery, purses too, No bag would get the best of you, In fact the day you passed away, It was in a bag as if to say.... "Mama you have been the best, You put me through the bag test, So know in heaven were I play, It’s in the bag I like to stay." |
I also want to thank Joy West, Reg Harris and John Stemmer who came to my call that morning and cried with me as we let Buddy float away. I especially want to thank Joy for staying with me the next two nights as I mourned the death of my Baby Boy. Buddy died in my arms with me cradling his beautiful face.
Bless All of YOU for being the Warmest Circle of LOVE surrounding my broken HEART.
