The Story Of Jack
A few weeks ago a client was sitting in his car in my lot and called me to tell me there was a kitten in the parking lot! I could not believe this little creature was hidden away in the bushes close to the road.
Over the next 2 days I left food and water and created a shelter for the little kitten. It was very skittish and ran whenever I got too close so I was very careful when approaching it's hiding place.
I started asking folks if there was anyone who rescues or fosters kittens and low and behold Kay Neal was a foster mom from Whiskers Tails and Ferals just a mile away.
I had a dream on the second night and the name Jack came to me. I did not know if the baby was male or female yet somehow Jack seemed to fit this spirit.(How it got there no one knows!)
With the help of my Husband we trapped "Jack" and Kay came and took the baby home. That afternoon I called Kay and she said" I was just going to call you! This is the sweetest kitten I have ever held".(and it was a boy!) I had thought since it was so skittish when we caught it that it would be wild. She said from the moment she picked it up it has not stopped purring!
I have 3 cats so there was no way I could introduce another one to my family without causing trauma.
The first person I talked to about Jack immediately, without hesitation said..."I will take him" and the rest is history as they say.
I write this story this Thanks Giving 2022 because I realize that embracing and caring for one tiny spirit enriches and adds so much love in my life.

Cynthia loves to play dress up and wasn't sure about dressing a boy kitten up. I told her I think there are cute boy clothes and she ran with that one! Enjoy this evolution in real time! She says he gives kisses and that just melts my heart!
